About Me
My name is Florin, and ever since my first dive into the depths of the ocean in 2005, I’ve been captivated by the magic beneath the surface. Together with my wife, I explore this fascinating, silent world where colors shine, shapes amaze, and every encounter is unique.
Equipped with a Canon EOS 5D in a Seacam underwater housing, two powerful Seacam 160 strobes, and a variety of lenses, I capture fleeting moments – the curious gaze of a sea turtle, the graceful glide of a manta ray, or the gentle play of light on an old shipwreck. These are the moments that tell stories and bring the beauty of the underwater world to life.
For me, underwater photography is more than just a hobby – it’s my passion and my way of preserving and sharing the fragile beauty of the oceans. Every photo is a tribute to this delicate world that so urgently needs our protection.
In my everyday life, I am the deputy managing director of a construction management office in Zurich. But as soon as I gear up and slip beneath the surface, I leave the daily grind behind and immerse myself in a completely different world.
