Palau 2025

In January 2025, my wife and I had the privilege of visiting the spectacular underwater paradise of Palau for the third time. Diving with Sam’s Tours Palau, we explored some of the most famous dive sites in the world. One of the highlights was the German Channel, a hotspot for majestic manta rays gracefully gliding through nutrient-rich plankton streams. Equally unforgettable was Blue Corner, a thrilling dive site that truly lives up to its reputation as one of the best in the world. Here, we encountered schools of barracudas, countless reef sharks, and even a curious Napoleon wrasse that seemed to accompany us.

Visibility exceeded 30 meters, allowing us to fully appreciate the vibrant coral reefs and the bustling marine life in the open blue currents. Palau is a true haven for big fish enthusiasts – from massive tuna to elegant eagle rays, the variety was incredible. The abundance of sharks, protected by strict conservation efforts, was especially impressive.

Another highlight was diving in the Blue Holes, a magical underwater cavern with spectacular light effects. The serene silence inside the caves, combined with the dramatic interplay of light and shadow, created a moment of pure fascination that we both cherished.

Palau offers wonders not only beneath the surface but also above. The Rock Islands, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are an experience in themselves. After our dives, we marveled at the emerald-green waters and lush, jungle-covered islands – a view that never fails to captivate us.

The combination of incredible biodiversity, the excellent organization by Sam’s Tours Palau, and breathtaking natural beauty makes Palau an absolute dream destination for divers. Even on our third visit, we discovered so many new and fascinating sights. Palau remains a place that continues to inspire and amaze us!
